Nanotechnologies

Nanotechnologies within the textile field, have been a much talked about subject in the scientific world for years. Now there are available in fact, fabrics with water repellent fibers, self-cleaning, antibacterial, insulating, antistatic, resistant to washing, flame-retardant, and which are used in various fields such as sport, work safety, and military.

We at IMT believe the use of these new nanomaterials, added to our products, succeeds in implementing the performance of medical devices and it can become an important ally in the best prevention and rehabilitation pathways.

Medical grade silicone

Silicone gel has waterproof and moisturising properties, making it one of the most useful tools for promoting the repair of the skin barrier, thus accelerating the physiological process of skin renewal and in all those situations where it is necessary to promote the restoration of skin integrity and its protection.

Moreover, it is highly biocompatible: this means that it is well tolerated by the human body as it does not irritate tissues, does not trigger immunological reactions, does not allow the proliferation of bacteria and is thermo-stable. In addition, it is chemically inert, non-toxic, odourless, water-repellent, and resistant to atmospheric agents and UV rays.
